Dig-It! Games Gives a Sneak Peek of New Roman Town with Puzzle App for iOS 8
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) October 21, 2014 -- Dig-It! Games, an independent developer of educational, interactive games founded by former archaeologist and middle school teacher, is offering a sneak peek into its new edition of Roman Town with the introduction of Artifact Snatch, a new app released for iOS 8 that challenges players to collect ancient Roman artifacts in a race against the clock.
In this interactive game exclusive to the iPad, Fiona—the popular character from Dig-It! Games’ series of top-rated and award-winning games—partners with players to identify and snatch authentic Roman artifacts before time runs out. This fast-paced game teaches students about the ancient civilization through a rich encyclopedia that features more than 75 genuine Roman artifacts.
“What kids want and need from educational games has changed dramatically since we first introduced Roman Town almost five years ago,” said Suzi Wilczynski, President and Founder of Dig-It! Games. “Artifact Snatch is the first mini game from the new and improved Roman Town, and it offers players a glimpse into how we are updating our games to meet the increasing, ever-changing needs of students.”
Much like the original Roman Town, Artifact Snatch is designed primarily for players 10-15 years old, and it can be played casually or used as a fun, engaging classroom supplement.
Artifact Snatch creates an immersive learning experience that features:
• An interactive library with 100 percent historically accurate descriptions;
• Beautiful, realistic graphics;
• Ability to post scores on Game Center and compete against peers;
• Download for free on iPad.
Artifact Snatch is the latest app to address the educational needs of middle-school students. Free to download on the iTunes Store, the game has been designed for iPad users. Loot Pursuit: Pompeii, Loot Pursuit: Tulum, Mayan Mysteries, MayaNumbers, and Can U Dig It! also cater to the learning needs of middle school children. All five iOS apps are free to download through the iTunes store. Maya Quiz is available for purchase on the iTunes store. Proceeds from all sales support middle-school education.
