Global Marketing Executive John Rueter Joins Leading Provider of Smart Data Solutions to Fortune 2000 Companies

Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of Smart Data solutions driven by Semantic Web technology, today announced the appointment of John Rueter as its new vice president of marketing.

Alongside Cambridge Semantics’ established executive and engineering teams in Boston, Rueter will leverage the company’s premier Semantic Web technology services to help businesses extend their reach, increase sales and improve efficiency. Rueter, a global marketing executive with more than 20 years’ experience in establishing companies as leaders in their markets, will be a critical addition in the continued rapid growth of Cambridge Semantics. Rueter will oversee all activities related to corporate marketing, product marketing, demand generation and product management.

Rueter previously served as vice president of marketing for Endeca, a leading provider of Big Data management solutions. Prior to Endeca, he served as chief marketing officer of StreamServe, Inc., a market leader of customer experience management software solutions. Before StreamServe, he served as senior vice president of global marketing for Fast Search & Transfer, a leader in enterprise search solutions.

Rueter holds an MBA with a concentration in marketing and management policy from Boston University Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.
