TMT M&A Adviser, Financing Bank and Law Firm shortlists announced for TMT World Awards 2014
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 23 October 2014 -- The finalists for TMT M&A Adviser, Financing Bank, and Legal Adviser have been announced for the TMT World Awards 2014 with nine investment banks and six law firms making the final shortlists to be presented at a Gala dinner in London on November 18.
The winners in each category will be presented at the Hilton Park Lane London along with TMT Deal of the Year, IPO, CEO, Operator, Growth Story and Innovation Awards
Six banks led the way in the M&A category: Citi, whose deals included advising CSL on its acquisition of HKT Group in Hong Kong and MTN on a sequence of African tower disposals; BNP Paribas which advised Etisalat on its acquisition of Maroc Telecom; Deutsche Bank which led the sale of Vivendi’s stake in SFR to Numericable; Lazard which advised Vivendi on the sale of Maroc Telecom; Morgan Stanley which advised Vodafone’s acquisition of Ono and Liberty Global’s acquisition of Ziggo; and UBS which advised Telefonica on EPlus and Vodafone’s Verizon Wireless sale.
Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas also made the shortlist for the Financing Bank category alongside HSBC, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.
The Legal Advisor shortlist features: Webb Henderson, Clifford Chance, Latham & Watkins, Herbert Smith Freehills, Linklaters and CMS Cameron McKenna with all landing significant mandates in the global TMT Sector over the past year.
The winners will be presented on November 18, at the TMT World Awards ceremony and gala dinner at the Hilton on Park Lane, London along with other categories including TMT Deal of the Year (Mergers and Acquisitions), TMT World IPO, Growth Story, Innovation (Infrastructure and Services), TMT Operator of the Year and TMT World Leadership Award.
