The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its Dressing of the Year, Sauce of the Year and Package of the Year Award winners at the ADS Annual Meeting held October 11-13 at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.
Here are the winners:
- 2014 Dressings of the Year (tie): OPA by Litehouse Feta Dill Greek Yogurt Dressing and T. Marzetti Company’s Simply Dressed Cherry Balsamic
- 2014 Sauce of the Year: Bay Valley Foods’ Bacon Marmalade
- 2014 Package of the Year: Philippe The Original’s Hot Mustard
The Dressing of the Year and Sauce of the Year Awards are presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate dressing and sauce products that are innovative and flavorful. The Package of the Year Award was developed to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packaging.
Nominations for each award were received from ADS members and then were voted on by members via a blind taste test for the dressings and sauce awards, and by visual presentation for the package award, at the ADS Technical Meeting in San Diego, California. ADS members voted for the dressing and sauce deemed to have the best overall taste and the package deemed to have the best presentation.
