Tri-State Food Expo and New Jersey Restaurant Association Partnership Brings Exciting Opportunities to Restaurant Industry Professionals Next Week
Restaurant industry pros from across the NY, NJ and CT region are in for a good show when doors open next week (October 27 & 28, 2014) for the 2014 Tri-State Food Expo at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. In an ongoing partnership with the New Jersey Restaurant Association (NJRA), show producers have created a number of foodservice industry-insider opportunities for members of the NJRA as well as other professionals attending and exhibiting at the show.
Tuesday, October 28th is NJRA Member Day at the trade-only b2b event. The Association kicks off a series of education and training resources planned for the day, with a ServSafe® Alcohol Certification Class at 10:45am. The ServSafe® Alcohol program prepares bartenders, servers, hosts, bussers, valets, bouncers and all front-of-house staff to effectively and safely handle difficult situations in an operation. This $50 class is open to all attendees and exhibitors, but with a limited amount of seats it’s important to REGISTER early.
Following, is the Association’s annual member meeting at 12:00pm, where the association will hold elections for the 2015 officers, update the industry on the busy 2014-2015 legislative session, and discuss the bills that will affect the hospitality industry. The meeting is open to all attendees and exhibitors and is a great opportunity to learn about the New Jersey Restaurant Association as well hear updates about the thriving industry. After the meeting the NJRA will host a networking happy hour featuring a mixology demonstration by their own Mixologist of the Year, Christopher James. The end of day event is open to all attendees and exhibitors.
