Photostack launches a photography contest to inspire and motivate
Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 -- Photostack, a new online digital photography community, is a platform that connects professional photographers with photo enthusiasts of all levels, providing photography inspiration, motivation, tips and advice. This new community not only connects creatives and skilled photographers, it inspires, motivates, and informs photographers of the newest trends and best practices.
Crafting Photostack has taken over 12 months of design, consultation, and planning work. Photography contests can be great motivators to the photography community, but they often leave those without the required knowledge and skills out in the cold. Photography courses and tutorials give users the information needed, but require them to remain motivated. Photostack aims to bridge this gap.
Membership in the community provides a wide range of benefits. Perks of membership include exclusive access to educational packets written by featured photographers and access to monthly contests, cash prizes, community discussions, and the chance to be included in an annual photo book.
Each month members will receive an info pack from a professional who has made photography their life's passion. Photographers include Jay Patel, Alfie Goodrich, Richard Bernabe and Andrew S. Gibson. Members will receive an information pack from a featured photographer at the beginning of every month; that will introduce a monthly theme and provide inspiration and advice.
Photostack provides members of all levels with access to an online forum where they can upload images, and receive feedback from fellow photographers in a friendly, collaborative environment. Members only hang-outs will be held online to share tips, advice, and feedback on how to improve and refine the submitted images.
A generous IndieGoGo referral rewards program is also in place. If the campaign is successful, anyone who refers two members to join the Photostack community will get Amazon's top rated digital photography book, Stunning Digital Photography. If four friends join, a copy of the mid-year magazine with a personalised bio will be provided. If six friends join Photostack, the referring member will receive free membership for themselves or a friend.
Photostack membership will retail for $120 AUD after the campaign, however the first 400 IndieGoGo contributors who give a $60 donation will get full membership at half price. The campaign also provides a range of other perks offering discount membership and related goods.
