Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association to Host “Social Media – Best Practices for Travel & Tourism” Seminar on Monday, Nov. 3
Shreveport-Bossier, LA (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- The Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association will host its next quarterly seminar, entitled “Social Media – Best Practices for Travel & Tourism,” 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 3 at the Clarion Hotel Shreveport, 1419 East 70th Street in Shreveport.
Seminar attendees will learn tips for developing and maintaining Facebook business pages, how to manage business accounts on user review websites like TripAdvisor and best practices on social media for small-businesses and non-profits.
Chis Jay, public relations and social media manager for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, will be the featured speaker. The workshop will be followed by a moderated question and answer panel with local experts on consumer based review websites like TripAdvisor, Urbanspoon and Yelp.
“The goal of this workshop is to help attractions keep up with the evolving social media landscape and learn how to implement best practices,” said Julia Foley, president of Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association. “Travel continues to be a key topic of interest on social media, and it’s important for the hospitality industry to connect and engage visitors through these platforms.”
The Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau co-sponsor these quarterly seminars to help attractions enhance visitor experiences and better market and promote themselves.
