A panel of esteemed judges from the Artisan Food & Beverage, Restaurateur, Investment and Technology industries will award winners in two tracks: (1) FoodTech Startups (software and hardware), and (2) Artisan Food & Beverage Startups. Food startups will have demo tables to showcase their products to a captive and engaged audience and will gain meaningful connections to investors and media.
Overall, Bon Appétech promises to be an incredible gastronomic experience, with a range of programming, interactive sessions and hands-on demos, all brought to life with a special Opening Night Food, Wine & Spirits event taking place on Friday evening, April 10, 2015.
“Food is directly related to how we feel and behave, it is a key aspect of our social lives. Good food innovation can change people's lives for the better. There needs to be a forum to discuss these ideas, and Bon Appétech is providing just that.” says Santiago Merea, CEO The Orange Chef, speaking of his enthusiasm for the Bon Appétech conference.
Rob Leclerc, CEO AgFunder agrees: “To feed nearly 10 billion people by 2050, food innovation will have to play a critical role in any solution, by improving the process, sustainability and nutritional spectrum of our food. But innovation doesn't happen in a vacuum. Entrepreneurs, food producers, investors and other stakeholders need to come together, exchange ideas, and build long-term relationships in this emerging ecosystem.”
