MK Partners Introduces New Users to the Cloud by Hosting a Hands-On Admin Workshop
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 27, 2014 -- MK Partners recently worked with Salesforce to host an admin workshop in the Los Angeles area. Many of the attendees were new to a CRM system and included business owners and individuals representing larger companies, as well as companies scoping out the system for future adoption.
The event provided attendees with access to a large pool of knowledge and offered an opportunity to learn from individuals affiliated directly with Salesforce, as well a chance to speak with a consulting partner about specific needs, including customization. Fostering relationships within the community is important to MK Partners and hosting a workshop in Los Angeles was a convenient way for local users to familiarize themselves with the application.
Workshop attendees expressed their excitement for the potential that the CRM system offers their company, as well as an eagerness to further their knowledge.
Comments on the news:
• MK Partners COO, Justin Davis said, “We’ve been active in the community since 2006 and are always looking for ways to connect with businesses in the area. The workshop was a way for new users to better acquaint themselves with the system in an environment that welcomed questions. As a consulting firm, we work with Salesforce everyday and create customized experiences for our clients, but we think it is important for customers to know the basics and get an idea of what is possible.”
• Bobby Pappas, President of Los Angeles based company Lunatech, attended the event and said, “It illuminated not only the breadth of Salesforce's powerful capabilities and what you can do as an admin for your organization, but it also revealed the extent with which a true development partner can help any organization, no matter how small.”
Two Salesforce engineers led the admin workshop and guided attendees step by step through the development process. Hands-on learning often leads to better retention, so after observing the engineers, individuals created their own application using their computers and mobile devices.
Once the initial application was created, users built upon it, creating and adding fields to objects, enforcing business rules, automating processes via workflows, and creating reports and dashboards. Attendees also downloaded the Salesforce1 Mobile App and explored some of the features. Everyone got a small taste of the developer life as well, with a brief introduction to Apex.
While one day is not enough to become a pro, the workshop was a great introduction to what is possible within the app. To learn more or to get started on your project today, visit http://www.mkpartners.com or call 818-760-8285.
