MOAA Selected as a Top Lobbying Association for Eighth Year
Alexandria, Va. (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 -- The political newspaper, The Hill, has named the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) one of the top lobbying associations in Washington, D.C., for the eighth consecutive year.
According to The Hill, “The Hill Top Lobbyists list are the advocates, lobbyists and professional agitators who shape the policy decisions made in the nation’s capital. From “hired guns” who run into battle for their clients, to association heads who wield the power of industries, to union leaders who exert might through membership, the names are players to know in the competitive world of Washington advocacy.”
The Hill particularly cited retired Navy Vice Adm. Norb Ryan, MOAA’s President. “The retired vice admiral will continue the association’s fierce fight against the Pentagon and some lawmakers to protect troop pay and benefits from budget cuts,” The Hill stated.
“We are again extremely proud and humbled to be recognized by The Hill,” Ryan said. “It takes a team effort from our board of directors, our entire staff, our strong chapter system, our partners and our terrific, dedicated members that give us One Powerful Voice! We will rely even more on that entire team in the challenging months ahead.”
“Our mission is incredibly rewarding. There is no segment of the American people more deserving of our advocacy than all of those who have answered the call to serve our nation and their families.”
