Indianapolis Singles Hosting a Food Drive to Give Back to the Community
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (PRWEB) October 24, 2014 -- Indianapolis Singles is a local dating service for single professionals in the Indianapolis area. The matchmaking service offers unique services for their members including the assurance of bona fide profiles, a thorough screening process, professional service, and singles events and activities that are geared toward philanthropic opportunities.
One of the focal points of Indianapolis Singles is serving the needs of local singles in and around the Indianapolis area by being involved in the community, and over the next few months, Indianapolis Singles will be doing exactly that by hosting a food drive that benefits Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana serves 21 counties throughout central and southeast Indiana. Of those counties served, more than 260,000 people are helped, with the majority being children and seniors. Nearly 78% of those assisted must choose between paying for food or paying rent.
“We understand the holiday season can be an anxious time for singles and not only are we positioned to offer a variety of events and activities to keep smiles on our single member’s faces, but we also plan to give back to those less fortunate,” said Sue, Indianapolis Singles Director.
The Indianapolis matchmaking company is looking forward to feeding lots of Hoosiers this year with hopes of raising 100 pounds of food to donate. To obtain the goal, the staff will be working together as well as reaching out to their members to participate. The staff is also encouraging clients who come in for their initial membership consultation to bring in items to donate. Those who do will be eligible for exclusive membership opportunities.
