North Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 -- Restaurateurs Marty Magill and Jeff Greenberg, along with their partners are pleased to announce the opening of Quincy’s South Bar & Grille which will replace the former Ray’s Rock ‘n Raw Bar at 11401 Woodglen Drive, 20852. Quincy’s South Bar & Grille opened to the public on Monday, October 20. Magill is the owner of the original Quincy’s Bar & Grille based in Gaithersburg, MD which has been a local favorite since 2008. Greenberg is the creator and owner of the trendy and popular Bracket Room in Arlington, VA.

Magill’s goal for Quincy’s South is to create an intimate neighborhood sports bar with live music and casual dining; one where patrons will state “meet me at the Q.” Renovation of the space started in May. The build-out included a handmade granite-topped bar, dark wood floors, and incorporated a fresh palette of warm greys that create a cozy, classic sports bar atmosphere.

The restaurant has 18 infinity-edge Samsung TVs, seats 36 at the bar, will rotate 12 beers on tap and can accommodate large groups. The bar is equipped with 16 outlets and USB ports to charge draining phone batteries and includes strategically placed hooks for purses. There is also a large patio to accommodate outdoor dining.

The menu features American bar fare. Standout dishes include Guinness braised brisket, crab dip, chicken wings, homemade pizza and burgers. Menu items range from $6 to $22 and the restaurant’s happy hour will run from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. each weekday, with various weekend specials and live music four nights a week.

Magill, Greenberg and their partners Chris McCasland and John Sahakian hope to establish Quincy’s South as the neighborhood staple in an ever-changing locale.
