Brazilian Chestnut will offer deck builders the ability to fulfill their customer’s aesthetic desires, while being comforted in knowing that they are providing them with a product built to last.

MoistureShield is expanding on its innovative capstock line, MoistureShield Pro, by including a third color, Brazilian Chestnut. Known as one of the hardest and most durable woods on the market, MoistureShield Pro’s Brazilian Chestnut is similar to its namesake both in performance and aesthetics. The composite decking boards feature a vast range of rich color variations from a light understated brown to sultry deep brown hues. Each board provides a unique blend of coloring, finishing every deck with unrivaled warmth and elegance.

“Homeowners continue to prize dark hardwoods as a mark of distinction and luxury in their outdoor living spaces,” said Brent Gwatney, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MoistureShield. “Brazilian Chestnut will offer deck builders the ability to fulfill their customer’s aesthetic desires, while being comforted in knowing that they are providing them with a product built to last.”

The three colors in the MoistureShield Pro line are backed by the industry-leading Lifetime Warranty that MoistureShield is known for, and are protected even further with a 25-year fade and stain warranty.

MoistureShield Pro is an advanced decking product that combines a moisture-resistant composite core with an extra layer of protection in a one-of-a-kind cap to increase fade, stain, scratch and slip resistance. As with other MoistureShield boards, the Pro line is so durable it can be installed on the ground, in the ground or even underwater without voiding the warranty. Each MoistureShield composite deck board is available in 12’, 16’ and 20’ lengths with coordinating trim boards, as well as in two profile options: grooved and square edged.

MoistureShield’s Pro line is the newest addition to its family of decking products that also includes the Vantage Collection and Essential Collection. All MoistureShield products are manufactured through a unique encapsulation process that defends the boards against moisture all the way to the core. With 95% total recycled content, including recycled plastic grocery bags and packaging film, MoistureShield is also an environmentally responsible choice.
