The purpose of the Topeka Soccer Clinic on Saturday is to spread a message of “peace through soccer.” According to the Global Foundation’s Chairman, Antonio J. Soave, “This soccer clinic is a testimony to the fact that soccer can be used as an effective and relevant tool to break down cultural, religious and ethnic barriers, and to focus on the commonalities that link all members of the human family.” Soave added that the Foundation is planning “soccer missions” in the countries of Haiti, Mali and Brazil in 2015.
