The Steed Society held its Top 25 Women of Atlanta awards celebration

The Steed Society is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Top 25 Women of Atlanta Awards. Tenacity, discipline and diligence are just a few of the criteria for making the list. This year’s awardees have broken barriers in their respective fields and left an indelible mark on the face of Atlanta.

Friends, family and colleagues celebrated the accomplishments of these 25 outstanding leaders during an awards dinner at The BALLROOM at Twelve Hotel - Atlantic Station on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

In attendance were Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed, City Council president Ceasar Mitchell, Peter Thomas and reality TV star, model and entrepreneur Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey, who received the Shero Icon Award.

"The women being honored tonight have made a difference in the community from the legendary Trumpet Awards Foundation's founder Xernona Clayton to corporate executive to real estate developers and reality star Cynthia Bailey," shares Munson Steed, publisher and CEO of Steed Media Group. "The have each broken barriers in the industry and have laid a blueprint for us to follow."

"It's great to applaud and celebrate black women who are doing great things in the city," offers Bailey.

Mayor Reed also shared some encouraging words and praised the women for their boundless passion and commitment.
