3 Dynamic Keynote Speakers present the positive impacts of High Reliability and Resiliency on Patient Care at the 2014 CALNOC Conference.

CALNOC, the nation’s first nurse quality indicators database, kicks off its Reliability & Resiliency: Dynamic Organizations for Dynamic Times Conference at the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego. The CALNOC Conference brings together patient care experts in a dynamic exchange to advance hospital’s collaborative efforts to eliminate hospital acquired conditions!

The 2014 CALNOC Conference keynote presentations will be delivered by these leading patient safety and quality advocates!

Keith R. Doram, MD, MBA, FACP, is Vice President for Clinical Effectiveness/Chief Medical Officer for Adventist Health and oversees patient safety and quality of care throughout the system. Dr. Doram’s conference presentation will focus on Building Resiliency to Combat Healthcare Burnout.

Julianne M. Morath, RN, MS, currently serves as the President/CEO of the Hospital Quality Institute (HQI). Her keynote discussion will explore what constitutes High Reliable Organizations and also offer tips, suggestions and strategies for dealing with the frantic pace of health care reform.

Thorton Kirby, is President and CEO of the South Carolina Hospital Association. Mr. Kirby will present the evolution of quality and safety work in South Carolina hospitals and their experience with The Joint Commission to help hospitals transform their organizations into highly reliable systems of care.

Erin DuPree, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare leads a hands-on session focused on Robust Process Improvement (RPI) methodology.

Today’s conference will also feature sessions, breakouts, panel discussions lead by members of the CALNOC Leadership Team and its Senior Scientists along with new learning opportunities and strategies to improve patient health and safety.
