Unlike standard ID recognition algorithms that can handle only predefined ID documents, the new AU10TIX online service (BOS) algorithm features improved recognition of borderline quality ID images and even recognize and single in ID document images that have not been predefined for the system but can be valuable for service providers. The new algorithm increases the rate of workable, potentially relevant images and reduces irrelevant “noise” in back-office work.

AU10TIX‘s upgraded online ID authentication and record generation service (BOS) represents a significant leap in effective coverage and operating efficiency in online and mobile channels. While traditional template matching based solutions suffer from high image misrecognition or failure rates, the new algorithm can recognize universal identifying document features even if not predefined or if image quality is borderline. By improving traffic screening capabilities more relevant or potentially relevant ID images are recognized and submitted for processing. At the same time back-office operation can deal with less irrelevant or unworkable image “noise” which costs unnecessary time and resources.
