FuelRod Brings “Ready-to-go” Mobile Phone Charging to Bay Area Travelers
Oakland, Calif. (PRWEB) October 27, 2014 -- FuelRod, a San Diego-based technology company announced today that it has extended access to its “ready-to-go” mobile charger vending systems to Bay Area travelers through a partnership with Oakland International Airport (OAK). FuelRod’s patented vending machines allow customers to buy portable chargers for mobile phones and tablets for just twenty dollars, and exchange used chargers for new ones at no additional cost. The launch of the vending machines at OAK marks the company’s second airport deployment in the United States, making its portable tablet charging systems available to nearly 30 million travelers.

At initial purchase, FuelRod vending machines dispense mobile-charger starter kits. The starter kit includes a FuelRod mobile-device-charger, a carrying case, a USB power cable, and adapters for iOS and Android based devices. After the FuelRod has been used, customers have the option to exchange the old FuelRod for a new, “ready-to-go,” unit at no additional charge or recharge the unit using a standard power outlet. Customers are permitted to keep the carrying case, the USB cable and adapters at no additional charge.

To date, six machines have been deployed in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at OAK and are available to airport patrons.
