First Akyumen Technologies Manufacturing Facility Set in Bahrain
Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- Akyumen Technologies Corporation, a mobile technology innovator, is building a $51 million state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly facility in Bahrain. Initial products created by the company include mobile phones and tablets capable of projecting the screen onto any surface. Akyumen CEO for the Middle East and Northern Africa, Mustafa Saied explains the new complex will be designed to meet the rising demand for mobile technology goods in the region over the next twenty years.
Mohamed Alfardan of The Alfardan Group, Hani Khanani, Akyumen’s Vice President of Technology and Innovation, and Saied met with Bahrain’s Industry and Commerce Minister, Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro this October to discuss the building plans. Khanani confirmed the 30,000 square meter facility will not only produce mobile phones and tablets, but manufacture and assemble various accessories and components as well. In the first two to three years, the facility will operate up to ten manufacturing lines with a total capacity of more than ten million units per year. Full commercial production at the facility is expected to start in late 2016.
This growth is beneficial to both the technology innovators and the country of Bahrain as both sides look forward to the venture. Saied praised the Bahraini government and the office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, pointing to the appropriate infrastructure and protective legislation for investments, in addition to the great facilities offered by the government to all investors. "This will be the first facility of this kind in the entire region and will change the dynamics of local consumer electronics product manufacturing for the Middle East," he added.

Dr. Fakhro expressed the country’s pride upon accepting this key investment in the future of Bahrain.
