Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony to Benefit Boys & Girls Club at the Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach, Fl (PRWEB) October 29, 2014 -- The Holiday Inn Resort is excited to announce the 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! This event will take place on December 2nd and will be open to all of our resort guests, but they’ve also invited the Panama City Beach Boys & Girls Club to come out to be a part of this great new event. The Children will enjoy listening to D.J. Jim play all their Christmas favorites while they make Christmas Ornaments - along with other arts-n-crafts - with the help of our elves, warm up with some hot chocolate, indulge in the make your own s’mores station, and get to meet Santa!
Guests who’ve visited our resort during any holiday know that our resort team goes all out on festive decorations for all holidays, with tons of hearts for Valentine’s Day, lots of red, white, and blue for Memorial Day and 4th of July, Pumpkins and fun spooky items for Halloween, and of course, the resort is absolutely beautiful at Christmas – but this Christmas they have really taking it to another level!
This year is the inaugural year of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the Resort Team is excited to explore a slightly different take on giving. The children from the Panama City Beach Boys & Girls Club who have been invited to come out and enjoy the event will also receive a $25 Gift Card that they will be able to use to purchase gifts for their mom and dad, grandparents, or maybe even a brother or sister, so that they too can experience the joy of giving.
“Our resort team loves the spirit of giving during the holiday season, and it’s in that spirit that we came up with this fun new way to celebrate. There are lots of local charities that collect toys for kids, so we know that the kids will be able to have the joy of opening gifts, but so many of them haven’t been able to experience the other side, the excitement of choosing something special for someone they love, to experience the joy of giving.” Says Philip Colvin, Director of Marketing at the Holiday Inn Resort.
The Resort Team hopes that all of the guests that are visiting on that day will join the fun and enjoy some hot chocolate, visit with Santa, enjoy the Christmas Music with D.J. Jim, and see the beautiful Christmas Tree light up to kick off a wonderful holiday season.
