Hale Advisors Receives National and State Women-Owned Business Certifications from WBENC and New York State
Kingston, New York (PRWEB) October 29, 2014 -- Hale Advisors, strategic marketing consultants for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in October. This latest certification follows the company’s certification in June as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in New York State.
WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process that includes an in-depth review of the business and site inspection to confirm the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. New York State also conducted a similar examination for its WBE certification. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
For Hale Advisors, the certification gives the company an advantage over non-certified companies when it comes to working with federal and state agencies, public authorities and corporations that have mandates to award contracts to minority and women-owned businesses. The certifications also give Hale Advisors visibility on the official directory of both WBENC’s and New York State’s certified contractors and access to a host of statewide and national services and support available to WBEs.
“We are pleased to receive this important WBENC certification, and we are honored to be a part of an organization that promotes and fosters growth for women-owned businesses,” said Zoe Dunn, co-founder with Beth Bengtson of Hale Advisors.
