Turek will explain how everyone already has equal rights no matter what the definition of marriage is, and how same-sex marriage will eventually hurt everyone, including homosexuals themselves.
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) October 28, 2014
Dr. Frank Turek, Executive Director of CrossExamined.org, has been honored as a featured speaker at the Defending Truth in a Culture of Deception Apologetics Conference to be held November 1st in Nashville, TN. Joining Turek at the event will be Dr. Stephen C. Meyer, Dr. Ed Stetzer, Dr. Alex McFarland, J. Warner Wallace, Abdu Murray and Troy A. Miller. The Defending Truth Apologetics Conference is presented by NRB Network and TodaysChristianMusic.com and is sponsored by B&H Academic, CCM Magazine and Trevecca Nazarene University.
Turek is the author of Correct, Not Politically Correct and co-author of Legislating Morality. He is also co-author of I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist, and host of the TV and radio show of the same name. Recently, Turek wrote an article examining equal protection for homosexuals under the Constitution. Featured on the CrossExamined.org and TownHall.com, the article, titled “Same Sex Marriage Decisions: The Constitution Protects Gays but not Blacks or Women”, lays the groundwork for Turek’s discussion on same-sex marriage, marriage protection and constitutional rights.
Turek will explain how everyone already has equal rights no matter what the definition of marriage is, and how same-sex marriage will eventually hurt everyone, including homosexuals themselves. He will show how 4 P's and 4 Q's-- which are easy to remember-- are the keys to defending natural marriage intelligently.
Troy A. Miller, NRB Network President and CEO explains the need for the conference, “Apologetics is defined as ‘a formal argumentation in defense of something, such as a position or system,’ and is often thought of by Christians as an evangelism tool used by really smart people to argue with other really smart people. But, in reality, apologetics is a discipleship tool that every Christian should be familiar with. That is why it’s so great that God has called some of the most brilliant men and women to disciple us and to defend the faith in this critical, skeptical, and cynical culture we live in.”
Defending Truth Apologetics Conference will be held at Trevecca Nazarene University and will feature topics such as the fallacy of evolution, defending natural marriage, the importance of intelligent design and defending Christianity to skeptics, Atheists and other religions. This one-day conference is ideal for college students, home school families (ages 13 and above), and anyone who is interested in apologetics and would like to learn to intelligently discuss and defend the Christian faith.
Defending Truth Apologetics Conference will be held at the Boone Business Building at Trevecca Nazarene University, located at 333 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, TN. Admission to the conference is $15 for students, and adults are $45 in advance or $50 day of the conference. Doors will open at 8am.
