Monica Vinader Launches Groundbreaking Interactive "Create A Necklace" Tool
(PRWEB UK) 29 October 2014 -- British luxury jewellery brand Monica Vinader has launched a fully responsive online necklace builder on its ecommerce website.
Loved for its instantly wearable designs and worn by celebrities including Emma Watson and the Duchess of Cambridge, the Monica Vinader brand is synonymous with personalisation.
Using the new online tool, customers can choose a chain and layer up to four pendants to make their own unique necklace from hundreds of possible combinations. They can drag the necklace to see the pendants swing, save their creations to their account and share with friends, or add the piece directly to their shopping basket.
Built in HTML5 and developed using Backbone.js, the tool makes use of an open source 2-dimensional physics simulator engine called Box2D. This provides ultra-realistic gravity and collision detection. iPad users are able to tilt their device and watch gravity move the necklaces on display.
“We strive to emulate the in-store experience as much as possible online. This tool aims to recreate the fun of trying on new jewellery and playing about with colour combinations, giving customers the ability to create their own look online” says Hannah Spicer, Head of Digital Content and Projects at Monica Vinader.
In addition to this new tool, the Monica Vinader website features a ring stacker and engraving functionality, to provide a user experience dedicated to the brand’s personalisation philosophy.
