White Plains, NY (PRWEB) October 28, 2014
Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE), the policyholder-owned property and casualty insurer designed for high net worth individuals and families, today announced that it is the exclusive underwriter for the new content section on TIME.com devoted to The Nantucket Project, an elite annual conference dedicated to sharing breakthrough ideas, innovations and stories related to major issues in the world.
Each year, The Nantucket Project brings together a select group of accomplished visionaries, thinkers and innovators to share ideas and stimulate discussion. Past presenters include former Treasury Secretary Larry H. Summers, PayPal co-founder and venture capitalist Peter Thiel, Former Senate Majority Leader and Surgeon Bill Frist, and Tony® Award winning director Julie Taymor, to name a few. Each is encouraged to give the “talk of your life” on subjects ranging from finance and science to music and art. This year’s conference, which was held in September, was centered on the intersection of “Art + Commerce.”
“Both TIME and The Nantucket Project are dedicated to sharing knowledge and generating discussions on new ideas. While not everyone is able to attend these conferences, by collaborating with PURE, we’re able to use our platform and share ideas from The Nantucket Project with millions of TIME.com visitors,” said Mike Rucker, Executive Director of Marketing for TIME.
“PURE was founded by challenging conventional thinking, and many of our 35,000 members have become extraordinarily successful by doing the same. We’re proud to partner with TIME to help share The Nantucket Project with our membership and TIME’s vast audience so that others can participate in the dialogue and debate,” said Mark Galante, CMO of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies.
The Nantucket Project on TIME.com launches on Monday, October 27th, with the release of numerous videos from this year’s event. Among them is a 6-minute short film entitled “Reclaim Democracy” that features Harvard Law Professor and campaign finance reform activist, Larry Lessig, along with a pair of sketch artists. The film, which was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Eugene Jarecki, is the first in a series called The Storytelling Project – a collaboration between TNP Labs and Harbers Studios. Six different films, inspired by a speaker or topic from this year’s event and crafted by a different director, will be posted to TIME.com over the coming months.
