Green Fleet Conference and Expo Panel to Feature NFI’s Bill Bliem

Bliem will join an interactive panel titled “121 Ways to Save Money on Fuel” as part of an educational session during the fleet efficiency event.
The Green Fleet Conference and Expo runs from October 29th-30th in Schaumburg, IL and is the world’s largest fuel and fleet efficiency event. The conference is a gathering of fleet professionals with an interest in expanding their awareness of alternative fuels and increasing fuel efficiency. The two-day event features interactive, educational, and advanced sessions on fleet sustainability.
On October 30th, starting at 10:15 a.m., Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine will present the interactive session “121 Ways to Save Money on Fuel” featuring Bliem along with HDT Magazine panelists Deborah Lockridge, Jim Park, and North American Council for Freight Efficiency representative, Mike Roeth. A reference to their June cover story, HDT Magazine put together this session to highlight innovative ways to maximize fuel efficiency.
Bill Bliem, Senior Vice President, oversees multiple facets of support functions for NFI. Bliem’s primary responsibility is overseeing NFI’s Fleet Services department, which handles cradle-to-grave management and maintenance of NFI’s truck fleet and material handling equipment. Fleet services is charged with finding innovative and cost effective ways to purchase capital assets, reduce overall fuel costs, and manage the total cost of ownership for its fleet. Bliem joined NFI in 2009 as its Vice President of Maintenance, bringing more than 30 years of Fleet and Maintenance experience.
