American Bucking Bull Industry Chooses Duncan, The Heart of the Chisholm Trail, for American Heritage in 2015.
Duncan, OK (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- American Bucking Bull Inc(ABBI), while in Las Vegas, proudly announced to shareholders and participants that their annual American Heritage event will be moving to the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center in Duncan, Oklahoma for 2015. This annual event, held in June, is one of the largest bucking bull futurity events in the industry, drawing stock contractors from coast-to-coast.
"We are excited to be heading to Duncan with our American Heritage. It's the most prestigious event in the sport of bucking bulls and Duncan will be a great home for us," said ABBI Executive Director, Dan Meihak.
Over the last decade, ABBI has established itself as the largest bucking cattle registry in the world. With over 170,000 animals registered in its DNA database, it ensures the bloodlines of legendary animals are always preserved and protected. It is the largest competitive bucking bull organization for professional stock contractors and animal athletes in the world, and pays out over $3 million in prize money each season. Owned by shareholders, the ABBI raises the public profile of animal athletes to a whole new level. Their American Heritage stands out amongst all other regular season Futurity competitions each year with over $300,000 paid out over just a single weekend.
"We had over 300 bulls entered in our Heritage event last year," shared Meihak, "The response to this competition from our members is outstanding, year in and year out, and we expect next year to be even bigger and better with our move to Duncan."
Their new home, the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center, is a multi-purpose facility that accommodates a variety of events year round. The newest addition, completed in November 2014, of a 40,000 square foot covered arena to the 77,000 square foot air conditioned main arena, auxiliary barns/pavilions and additional amenities will provide a first class atmosphere with room for growth. Duncan, population 23, 432, has wonderful amenities for visitors, with 596 rooms available that meet any budget, a variety of local and franchised dining options and unique boutique shopping in their historic Main Street district.
"We are excited about bringing the American Heritage to Duncan and showcasing our community," stated event liaison Jim D. McLain of the TwoBulls Group. "Our goal of bringing major events to Duncan is now becoming a reality through the vision of our County Commissioners in the recent expansion of the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center. The cooperative efforts between the Duncan Convention and Visitors Bureau, Stephens County Fair and Expo Center, and TwoBulls Group will bring this world class event that will benefit the city, county and local businesses with a major economic impact."
