Why is Florida the Only Target of
Big Money Anti-Marijuana?
This segment features an in depth interview with Robert Platshorn, the former marijuana smuggler and well known international activist who spent thirty years in federal prison for a non-violent first offense for cannabis. Robert’s new book, Greed and Evil is an expose of the commercial forces behind the anti-marijuana lobbies. He and Gary will discuss the reasons why Florida has been singled out to be the single battleground state in the fight stop the spread of medical marijuana that is now legal in 23 states and our nation’s capital.
The anti-cannabis lobbies, led by casino mogul Sheldon Adelson have poured over 5 million dollars into Florida to defeat Amendment 2, medical marijuana. They have good reason to choosing Florida as their battleground state for stopping the advance of medical marijuana.
