Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) Introduces Integrated Rack Product Based on Microsoft Open Compute Specification

Rackgo M is based on the Open CloudServer version 2 standard, contributed today to the Open Compute Project by Microsoft and powered by the latest Intel® server processor family.

More and more enterprise customers are coming to QCT asking about Open Compute. Rackgo M gives them an integrated alternative, pre-racked and ready to ship.

QCT, global provider of hardware to cloud datacenters, today takes the wraps off of its latest integrated rack solution. The new product is based upon the specification Microsoft released today to the open source community via the Open Compute Project (OCP) and was announced at the OCP European Summit.

The QCT Rackgo M is designed based on the Open CloudServer (OCS) version 2 standard. OCS v2 is based on the Intel® Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 product family.

QCT is demonstrating a half-rack configuration of the Rackgo M solution at events this week and next in Paris. Today and tomorrow, Rackgo M can be seen in the Microsoft booth (booth #P1) at the OCP European Summit. Next week, the product can be seen in the QCT booth (booth #D12) at OpenStack Summit Paris.

Rackgo M will be available for shipment to customers in January 2015.
