The new version of 2Printer - the command line tool able to print any number of documents in batch mode - has been released by fCoder Group, Inc.
2Printer 4.4 provides support for a larger number of formats that can be printed automatically via the command line. Among the supported formats are common and not so common ones: Microsoft Office and OpenOffice documents, PDF, XPS, HTML, XML, plain text files, image files, CAD documentation created in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
2Printer offers effective printing solutions for large businesses, software developers and system integrators. The program works with all the existing printers, including network printers, virtual printers, and regular printers.
What is new in version 4.4:
The program has been enriched with new formats that are used for technical documentation and drawings. It can print XML files, Microsoft Excel XLSM files, CAD documents created by AutoCAD and SolidWorks: EPRT, EPRTX, EASM, EASMX, EDRW, EDRWX, SLDPRT, SLDASM, SLDDRW, PRTDOT, ASMDOT, DRWDOT, 3DXML, STL, CALS, DWG, DXF, PRT, XPR, ASM and XAS. Reliability of printing these documents is of vital importance, and this is what the developers have paid a special attention to.
Free eDrawings viewer should be installed to let 2Printer process CAD files.
The program offers additional printing options, such as specifying the number of copies for each printed document. The example of the command line offering this looks like:
2Printer.exe -s "C:\In\*.*" -prn "Xerox 2050" -copies 3
