Connance, Inc. (http://www.connance.com), healthcare’s premier source of predictive analytic technology solutions that optimize financial and clinical workflows, today announced that Randy K. Hawkins, M.D. has joined the company as its Chief Medical Officer. In this role, Dr. Hawkins will be responsible for leading the company’s expansion into population health and patient relationship management.
"Randy has an impressive track record of applying technology to improve the daily routines of clinicians and deliver better patient outcomes. His experiences are a perfect match to Connance’s suite of consumer-focused predictive analytics and workflow technologies," said Steve Levin, CEO of Connance. "In conversations with our client hospitals and clinical groups, we are hearing a need for solutions to integrate consumer analytics into patient communications, care transitions and post-discharge follow-up efforts. There is growing evidence that a consumer’s environment and lifestyle impact their ability to get and stay healthy."
"I am excited to join Connance and lead their expansion into population health and patient relationship management," said Randy K. Hawkins, M.D. "Insight into a patient’s world outside of the exam room can help providers shape treatment plans and target interventions to drive meaningful improvements in consumer health. The challenge is to get that insight into the hands of clinicians quickly and in a manner which best promotes optimum care transitions. Connance has demonstrated that they can do this, and I am excited to build the national practice."
Prior to joining Connance, Dr. Hawkins was Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer at Glytec where he was responsible for clinical oversight, product strategy and new business activity. Prior to Glytec, he was Chief Medical Information Officer at PatientKeeper, Inc., where he was responsible for both product strategy and new business development.
