Amerinet Announces Support of HSCA ‘Total Visibility Project’
St. Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- Amerinet Inc., a leading national healthcare solutions organization, issued the following statement today on the announcement of the Healthcare Supply Chain Association’s (HSCA) Committee for Healthcare eStandards (CHeS) Total Visibility Project, a data synchronization best practice for product information that will improve patient safety and efficiency in the healthcare supply chain.
“As a further reinforcement of our long-standing commitment towards reducing healthcare costs and improving healthcare quality, Amerinet supports the Total Visibility Project,” said Todd Ebert, president and CEO of Amerinet. “We are dedicated to providing our members with the service and solutions they need for success – and in order to be successful in this new era of healthcare reform it will require healthcare providers to have immediate access to product data and that the right product gets to the right patient at the right time.”
As part of the Total Visibility Project, suppliers may publish a set of common, minimum product attributes to the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), which will then be immediately available to GPO hospital and provider members. Having this strong data synchronization standard in place is critical to ensuring inefficiencies, errors and duplicative labor efforts are reduced among trading partners. This in return will create complete and accurate catalogs that healthcare providers use to order or buy products.
Amerinet is a member of the GDSN Early Adoption Group facilitated by GS1 Healthcare US and participated in discussions which led to the development of this new HSCA data synchronization standard. Amerinet believes that the Total Visibility Project will improve patient safety and drive costs out of the supply chain.
1WorldSync, Amerinet’s partner in facilitating the sharing of product data through GDSN, created a landing page on their website for more information about the Total Visibility Project and GDSN.
