Endura Energy Annouces the Completion of a 600 KW Solar System at 40 Holtby Avenue, Brampton, Ontario
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) November 03, 2014 -- The rooftop installation at 40 Holtby Ave. in Brampton is the city’s first and largest co-op project. It also marks the 25th solar project for the SolarShare Co-op, who will be the long term owner and operator of the project. “With the support from partners like Endura Energy we now have a 600 kW project pumping clean solar power into the grid, for the benefit of everyone in the community. Not only is it helping to address the urgent issue of climate change, but it is also encouraging local community investment and individual benefits,” said Mike Brigham, President of the SolarShare Co-op.
This is the first project commissioned of a portfolio of 2.7 MW of projects developed in partnership between Endura Energy Developments Inc. and the SolarShare Co-op under the province’s feed-in-tariff (FIT) program whereby solar projects sell the power they generate under a fixed price 20 year contract. The portfolio, which comprises of five rooftop projects across the Greater Toronto Area, is expected to be fully commissioned by early 2015.
“We are pleased to have completed the first of five rooftop solar projects we were awarded under the FIT 2.1 program. This is a significant milestone for SolarShare and for us. We are very excited to be partners with them on so many solar projects” stated Cameron Steinman, President of Endura Energy Project Corp and Director of Endura Energy Developments Inc.
