Richmond, VA (PRWEB) October 29, 2014 -- Timmons Group was recently awarded the South Dakota Wildlife Inventory and Land Management Application (WILMA) Update for South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP). The WILMA application was originally designed and implemented in 2006. This new project will take the original goals for WILMA and enhance the experience for GFP users, streamline the editing tools for GFP’s staff, increase performance for all mapping tasks and data entry and modernize the solution.
“We are happy to work with Timmons Group again for the upgrade to WILMA,” said Chelsea Krause, GIS Wildlife Manager. “We are confident they will continue to apply their innovative technologies and increase effectiveness through our entire agency.”
Having partnered with numerous natural resource agencies, including South Dakota GFP for over seven years, Timmons Group will also bring lessons learned from other state and federal partners for spatial accomplishment tracking and reporting.
“We are ecstatic that South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks has selected us to modernize our WILMA application,” said Lowell Ballard, Director of Geospatial Solutions. “This project will consist of a multitude of functional enhancements that will not only increase productivity but also ensure efficiency throughout all South Dakota GFP divisions. The combination of new functionality and technology upgrades will provide a new and improved solution for GFP staff. Our best clients are our repeat clients and we’re very proud to have been chosen for this important project.”
