“This collection—erudite, insightful, observant, realistic, empathetic, playful, whimsical, hopeful—teases our knowing in the direction of wholeness, personally and communally. Thank you, Jim, for the gift.”-Phillip Aspinall, Anglican Archbishop

People write for different reasons. Some write to entertain, others as a form of therapy. Jim McPherson writes to tease his own knowing, in the sense of drawing it out and understanding more deeply. He also writes to explore and extend his own spirituality and the theology on which it is grounded; to voice some of the poignancy and pathos of human experience as he has been privileged either to experience it directly or observe it in others.

In “To Tease Our Knowing” (published by Xlibris AU), McPherson shares a collection of poems carved from his profound pastoral experience and chiseled with intellectual rigour. These writings will inspire readers to take to the direction of wholeness – personally and communally.

This book has received numerous praise and endorsements from readers.

“This collection—erudite, insightful, observant, realistic, empathetic, playful, whimsical, hopeful teases our knowing in the direction of wholeness, personally and communally. Thank you, Jim, for the gift." - Phillip Aspinall, Anglican Archbishop of Brisbane

“Jim McPherson’s powerful and engaging collection will be a great resource for philosophy and religious studies at both secondary and tertiary levels. You'll want to return again and again because they so beautifully illuminate the philosophical and the sacred”. - Lana Priebbenow, Fraser Coast Anglican College
