Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- Today Virtuabotix LLC has announced they will be moving their headquarters, and all Virtuabotix.com operations from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Portland, Oregon soon. According to Joseph Dattilo, the Founder and CEO of Virtuabotix LLC all Virtuabotix.com operations will be moving mid-November.
The announcement is great news for Oregonians and west coasters as a whole since it means easier access to a wide array of components and devices for Makers in the area. In addition, existing online customers will no longer have to pay sales tax on online purchases, or in-store purchases made through Virtuabotix.
"In general we expect that the move to Oregon will have a positive impact on our customers, and open up new opportunities for Virtuabotix to work with the amazing people in the greater Portland area." Joseph Dattilo, Founder Virtuabotix LLC.
Virtuabotix has actively participated in Colorado's Maker community since its creation, and will continue to participate with the many companies in the area who work with them already. "We are proud to have been a major player in the Colorado Springs Maker community, and will continue to support Makers across the world as we always have." Joseph Dattilo, Founder Virtuabotix LLC.
Moving a complex online retail operation to another state is no small task, but the company has made confident assurances that there will be no significant changes to delivery schedules or fulfillment times. "We anticipate no more than a 48 hour delay on any given order, and are doing everything possible to make the transition as smooth as possible for our customers" said Katherine Dattilo, Chief of Operations & Co-Founder, Virtuabotix.com.
"By far, we are expecting the move to be virtually unnoticeable to existing customers."
Virtuabotix LLC is the creator of the Bareduino and Versalino lines, as well as many other general purpose and specific Arduino compatible Electronic devices and sensors, and a major source for open source hardware and components. With over 370 unique products in its ever growing catalog. The company ships products globally, and makes many of its products right here in the United States. The existing supply chain for Virtuabotix is expected to remain the same following this transition, but several additional Colorado distributors may be added to help support the existing Colorado Maker community.
"We are excited to work more closely with the Makers on the West Coast, and are starting to talk about the possibility of crowd funding the first Virtuabotix.com Makerspace in downtown Portland soon. Please let us know if that is something you would like to see happen in the future!" Says Joseph Dattilo, Founder Virtuabotix LLC.
