Berkeley Patients Group Cannabis Dispensary Celebrates 15 Years of Service to the Community with Federal, State, and Local Lawmakers
Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) October 31, 2014 -- Founded on October 31, 1999, Berkeley Patients Group (BPG) was born out of the need to create a safe place where underserved medical cannabis patients could go to acquire high quality medicine in a warm and welcoming, community-centric environment. For over 15 years throughout a changing legal and societal landscape BPG has been among California’s leading medical cannabis dispensaries and a model in community service.
After BPG’s 15 years of continuous service to the community, Berkeley City Mayor Tom Bates will proclaim October 31 Berkeley Patients Group Day in the city at a press conference held by BPG on their anniversary.
"The Berkeley Patients Group is a well-respected organization providing a valuable service to the Berkeley community," said Mayor Tom Bates.
Federal and state lawmakers, including Congresswoman Barbara Lee and Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner will also be in attendance to celebrate the milestone and speak at the press conference.
"The Berkeley Patients Group is a first of its kind institution that has been serving Berkeley for 15 years," said Assemblymember Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley). "I wish BPG many more years of providing patients with the doctor-recommended medication they need."
Please join BPG in celebrating 15 amazing years of service, and the progress made on this important social issue. In honor of this anniversary BPG will be hosting a party and providing tour of their facility.
