Hollander Sleep Products, McDuffie County’s newest manufacturer, and Forward McDuffie held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new 200,000 square foot facility in Thomson, Georgia today. The ceremony began with a welcoming from Mayor Kenneth Usry and comments followed by Rev. Fred Favors and Chairman Charlie Newton.
Over 50 guests were in attendance and had the opportunity to learn about the new Hollander Sleep Products facility from keynote speakers including the Hollander Sleep Products’ CEO, Chris Baker and Red Rock Developments’ CEO, Bill Smith. Other speakers included Senator Jesse Stone, Senior Project Manager, Walt Farrell, and Development Authority Chairman, Riley Stamey.
Timmons Group assisted the development team with site analysis and site selection, as well as civil engineering, landscape architecture design, and fast-tracked the permitting through McDuffie County and the State of Georgia in order to commence the early site work.
