AMC Technology Boosts Support of VCU School of Engineering
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) November 03, 2014 -- Each semester a group of students in the Computer Science Department work with AMC’s development team to create and develop innovative new technology. This October three students concluding their Senior Design Project using an AMC development idea were sponsored at the 2014 salesforce.com Hackathon – a 1 million dollar event for the winning team. The AMC team proudly took home 10th place in their category winning $10,000.
“Our partnership with VCU’s School of Engineering has been tremendously valuable for our business and community outreach,” said Anthony X. Uliano, Founder and CTO. “It’s an honor for AMC to play an important part in the local software engineering community and contribute to the next generation of developers.” AMC will also be a Silver Sponsor at the November 8-9, 2014 VCU RamHacks - a 24-hour programming marathon for innovative developers to design and implement a software or hardware application of their choosing.
"I highly value AMC Technology's support of the Computer Science Department. Its sponsorship of Allen Calderwood, Matthew Bates and Matthew Jenkins to the Salesforce Hackathon 2014 in San Francisco, as well as their significant support for the VCU RamHacks event is demonstrative of the excellent relationship between industry and academia," said Dr. Cios Professor and Chair of the VCU Department of Computer Science.
