We’re putting the focus back on experiences with our Vizcaya neighborhoods and we think Austin homebuyers will appreciate that.

The first 55+ community in Austin from Taylor Morrison will debut this winter with the opening of Heritage at Vizcaya, the homebuilder’s new master-planned community in Round Rock.

The homes at the 55+ Heritage at Vizcaya will offer a diverse array of floor plans designed to maximize living space and create opportunities to squeeze the most out of life. In all, 12 floor plans will be available. The community will open for sales beginning in January.

“It’s a chance to live in a community that offers you the opportunity to be greater than your age,” said Michael Lindeman, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Austin division. “We’re putting the focus back on experiences with our Vizcaya neighborhoods and we think Austin homebuyers will appreciate that.”

Lindeman said one of the ways lifestyle will stay the central focus at Vizcaya is through the community’s planned clubhouse, which will feature an onsite lifestyle director to help plan activity opportunities for residents. In addition, the amenity center is scheduled to include fitness and aerobic center, meeting rooms, a catering kitchen, card and craft rooms as well as a billiard room.

“We’re looking at creating a destination community for homebuyers who want to see their lives enhanced by the community around them,” Lindeman said.

The 477-acre tract of land, located in Round Rock, will see a second lineup of homes from the homebuilder in 2015. The all ages Homestead collection follows the Heritage opening, in spring 2015, and company officials said Vizcaya will yield more than 1,200 home sites and a total of four Taylor Morrison product lines total when finished.

The project is well positioned for Austin homebuyers, Lindeman said, noting its close proximity to both I-35 and the SH 130 toll road.

“Downtown Austin is well within reach, as is the new Seton Medical Center, Texas State University, Austin Community College, Texas A&M Health Science Center and plenty of local shopping and dining destinations,” said Lindeman, adding that Round Rock Outlet Mall and popular retailer Ikea are both nearby.
