Just Launched: Pay With Drop Turns Mobile Payments on Its Head

Don’t stand in line to order and pay – simply Drop it!

Beacons, while barely on anyone’s radar a year ago are now without doubt considered the future of retail and mobile payments. Launched at Money 2020, payments startup, Pay with Drop, an innovative beacon driven mobile payments consumer app and POS solution is turning the $721b mobile payments industry on its head transforming the way consumers order and pay.

Via the Drop app, installed either on a phone, or a wearable, a consumer no longer needs to stand in line, Drop enables the consumer to order and pay from up to 200 feet away, move to the pick up area, grab their purchase, and go.

Apple Pay, and Google Wallet, may give the consumer an alternative to a physical card or cash, but “you still have to stand in line to make a payment. Drop was designed so that you can skip the line. This is a huge, and disruptive innovation in mobile payments,” said Co-Founder & CEO, Karen Orford.

Encompassing loyalty, analytics, proximity market and payments, Drop is a frictionless end-to-end beacon driven solution for both consumer and merchant. Through the Drop app, consumers receive from merchant’s engaging proximity and analytics based; recommendations, deals, discounts and rewards, and then without lining up, can redeem, order and pay.

The history of mobile payments suggests neither consumers nor merchants will adopt mobile payments simply for the payments portion, wide spread adoption will come from making life easier, faster; it’s what consumers are demanding. “Not having to line up to order and pay is a rewarding consumer experience, and for the merchant, Drop’s real time analytics and proximity marketing features are a whole new opportunity for revenue growth and shouldn’t be ignored,” said Charlie Jadallah, a Co-Founder and EVP with Qualpay, a cloud based, next generation payment service provider. Qualpay has partnered with Drop to provide seamless payment processing and business information analytics.
