HyprKey to Demo Fraud-Smashing Mobile Payments & Authentication Platform in New York City
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 05, 2014 -- HyprKey, the biometric mobile payments platform, announced today that its team will demonstrate the firm’s path-breaking secure mobile payments and authentication technology at the Empire Startups Summit.
In announcing its participation, company executives predict a win in the summit’s first-ever startups demo competition based on HyprKey’s novel yet sensible solution to safeguarding every consumer’s internet experience whether this is defined as account login, data transmission, or payment authorization.
The Silicon Alley cybersecurity and mobile payments company has moved through summit organizers’ selection process of hundreds of applicants to be among 36 area startups that will compete for prestige and a minimum $10,000 in seed investment.
HyprKey CEO George Avetisov and CTO Bojan Simic expressed confidence in the hardware and software that comprise the platform the two have developed since mid 2014.

HyprKey Growing Functionality
In addition to securing Bitcoin payments as its core functionality, the HyprKey platform features the ability to support third-party hosted wallets. The patent-pending technology uses three-factor authentication based on decaying biometric tokens. At the point of sale the free app utilizes both QR scanning and NFC based contactless payments in order to eliminate friction and facilitate any payment protocol.
HyprKey has a working alpha design that demonstrates core functionalities and is already seeking opportunities to demo its growing uses. Aside from the Empire Startups Summit, HyprKey is cementing plans to exhibit at the International CES 2015. Summit Specifics
At the Empire Startups Summit, HyprKey staff will demonstrate spending bitcoin without ever owning bitcoin, spending/receiving bitcoin from hosted wallets, and a kind of password-elimination functionality that will benefit from a massive rollout in the weeks following the summit.
The Empire Startups Summit will take place at the famed Webster Hall nightclub beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, November 10th and 11th. In addition to the startup competition, the event will showcase sound advice from dozens of the startup ecosystem’s opinion leaders, and the generosity of sponsors.
HyprKey and other startups will interface with participating VCs in 3-minute exchanges, or “speed pitching” rounds, to ascertain firms’ viability and investability. Two days of pitching and judging will yield semi-finalists that, on both days, will vie for the chance to demonstrate to the whole conference of 300 ticketed participants. The sole winner will be chosen at the end of day two just prior to when the summit adjourns.
