EggBanxx Makes Egg Freezing Accessible to Women Whose Employers Don’t Offer Benefit

As reported by NBC News on October 14, tech companies Apple and Facebook are offering egg freezing benefits for female employees. For those women whose employers don’t provide the benefit, and for those companies who wish to support their female employees by extending a contribution towards fertility preservation, EggBanxx is an affordable solution.

Egg freezing, a form of fertility preservation, allows a woman to freeze her eggs now and use them to try to get pregnant when she’s ready to have a family. A benefit of this technology is that you use your younger, therefore healthier, eggs to attempt pregnancy when the time is right.

Increasingly, women are putting off pregnancy until they’ve found the right partner, or have met other life goals. There has been a 900% increase in women over age 35 having their first child and one in three women over the age of 35 has trouble conceiving. And, 50 percent of women trying to conceive over the age of 40 aren't able to fulfill their desire of starting or expanding their family. Fertility clinics have been leveraging younger, healthier eggs for improved IVF success rates for women through the use of donor eggs for decades. With elective egg freezing, a woman can benefit from the same advantages, but with her own frozen egg – giving her the opportunity to be a biological mother where this would not be an option otherwise.

“If you're not an employee of Apple or Facebook, you're looking to spend more than $10,000 on freezing your eggs and another $3,000 or more on fertility drugs,” says Jay Palumbo, Director of Patient Care at FertilityAuthority, the parent company of EggBanxx. “We built EggBanxx by negotiating exclusive pricing at top fertility clinics around the country, so that more women can have access to the option of preserving their fertility.”

Not all companies have the deep pockets that Apple and Facebook do, and can afford to offer their employees a $20,000 perk. EggBanxx is in talks with human resource departments who can instead opt to extend exclusive EggBanxx pricing to their employees by contributing to the plan to support and invest in their female workforce. EggBanxx financing options also help make the procedure more accessible by spreading out payments and allowing women to get started immediately rather than paying for the whole treatment upfront.

About EggBanxx, owned by FertilityAuthority, is part of a family of websites providing comprehensive, interactive resources and referrals for women and men seeking quality fertility information, as well as tools to simplify the search for trusted fertility doctors or fertility clinics. With more than one million monthly visits, the websites,,,,,— along with a staff of patient care advocates — assist in making the important connection between patients and the physicians who can assist them in their family-building efforts.
