The story is based on a dream that actor/writer David shared with Kubin. "The dreams probably come from a life lived in fear of my falling away from the fire and brimstone faith I grew up with in northern Alabama. A constant fear of being caught in the act by an angry deity." It was immediate that the idea would be a perfect vehicle for Kubin's next short film.
Kubin is excited to see and hear reactions to the short, commenting, "I decided to shoot the entire film in Super 16mmm to create a gritty and visceral story of the judgement of a vengeful angel. I wanted it to feel like you could be the next." The critics agree that it is effective and the sense of dread you feel during the last shot is palpable.
This is the third short film from director Kip Kubin. It follows his critically acclaimed science fiction film "EACH TIME AGAIN".
