Taylor Swift Tickets: Taylor Swift Announces Her 2015 Tour Dates - Find Concert Dates and Tour Information Today at TicketDown.com
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 03, 2014 -- Formerly a country princess, Taylor Swift has now ventured off into the world of pop music and if early indications from the release of her pop album debut mean anything, then she is on her way to elevating her name in the entire music business. Swift’s pop album debut, 1989, is giving the Recording Industry Association of America something to think about for the first time this year. With astronomical early sales numbers, this album could possibly end up selling in excess of a million copies. Supporting acts for Taylor Swift's 2015 tour dates include Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes (exact supporting artist will be dependent upon city and venue).

Swift entered the music scene in 2004 and immediately turned heads with his debut single, “Tim McGraw.” The single sold more than a million copies, earning Platinum certification from the RIAA and also reached the top 40 on the Billboard single charts in the United States. Her follow-up single, “Teardrops on My Guitar,” reached the No. 13 spot on the singles charts and sold more than three million copies. She would go on to release three other singles off that album, all of which earned Platinum certification. The instant popularity of Swift with her first five singles helped her self-titled debut album sell more than five million copies in the United States.
In 2008, two years after her debut album changed the way people looked at country music, Swift outdid herself with Fearless. That album sold more than six million copies in the United States and more than eight million around the world. Two years later, she released Speak Now, which sold more than four million copies in the United States and two more years later, she released Red, which saw more than six million copies fly off the shelves around the world.
When the announcement comes that Swift will be spending most of 2015 on the road touring with her new and old music, it will instantly become the biggest tour of the year. The last time she toured, she was on “The Red Tour,” which ran from March 2013 until June 2014. The trek around the world had 86 shows and grossed more than $150 million. From February 2011 until March 2012, she toured around the world for 110 shows on the “Speak Now World Tour,” and from April 2009 until June 2010, she made 106 stops on the “Fearless Tour.”
Swift has an extensive catalog of music that her fans know all the words to and will gladly sing along with her on tour. Among the hits her fans will hope to hear her perform live include, “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me,” “Today was a Fairytale,” “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” “Begin Again,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22,” and “Shake it Off.”
