The attorneys at Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan are honored to maintain this prestigious recognition.
Norfolk, Virginia (PRWEB) November 05, 2014
Once again, the attorneys at Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan were recognized as a "Best Law Firm" by the respected publication U.S. News & World Report. The firm is rated as a Tier 1 "Best Law Firm" for medical malpractice and railroad worker injury law for the Norfolk, Virginia region. The firm was also highly rated for general personal injury law.
The “Best Law Firms” rankings are determined by an independent, rigorous evaluation process that includes collecting evaluations by clients and fellow lawyers, peer reviews from leading attorneys in their field, and reviewing additional information provided by the law firms. No law firm can pay to be listed.
The quantitative and qualitative data is combined into an overall score for each firm that submitted information for consideration. This data was then compared to other law firms within the same metropolitan area and at the national level, according to the U.S. News & World Report web site. Because firms were often separated by small or insignificant differences in overall score, the publication used a tiering system rather than simply ranking law firms from top to bottom. Of the over 12,600 firms that were eligible to submit information for the ranking process, only 8,077 of those firms received Tier 1 national and/or metropolitan rankings.
The attorneys at Shapiro, Lewis, Appleton & Duffan are honored to maintain this prestigious recognition as a top tier firm in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach region. Along with being recognized as a "Best Law Firm", many of the attorneys possess the "Best Lawyer" designation.
