The industry veteran will strategically advise the company that’s changing the way business software is developed and deployed

Today, ElasticBox announces the addition of Mike Kail to their board as a strategic advisor. ElasticBox is a fast growing startup that enables IT-as-a-service. Mike currently serves as CIO and SVP of Infrastructure for Yahoo and has more than 23 years of experience in IT. His expertise, combined with his passion for IT’s ability to create smarter businesses, makes him the perfect addition to ElasticBox’s board.

Mike has the unique experience of working at some of the biggest and most forward thinking IT companies in the world. He recently joined Yahoo as CIO and SVP of Infrastructure where he leads the technical infrastructure of IT and data center operations for the company. Mike also spent two years managing big data and data center operations at Attensity.

“Companies today need to embrace new technologies in their IT strategies in order to succeed in the market now and stay competitive in the future,” said Mr. Kail. “ElasticBox addresses some of the biggest concerns CIOs face when planning for the future--flexibility and choice in how they move to the cloud by allowing for diversification of cloud providers when deploying applications. ElasticBox is an incredibly valuable platform for today’s IT shops.”

ElasticBox makes it insanely easy for IT teams and developers to collaborate to build, manage and deploy applications to any cloud at lightning speed. “Mike is a highly sought after expert in cloud computing not just because he’s smart, but because he has firsthand experience on the frontlines of solving real business problems.” said Ravi Srivatsav, CEO and cofounder of ElasticBox. “It’s a testament to the vision of our product and the talent of our team that Mike wants to help guide our growth.
