Celestix ADFS Bridge Appliance simplifies installation and reduces setup time of AD FS to integrate federated identities into Office 365 and other cloud applications

Celestix Networks, the leading provider of secure remote access connectivity solutions, today announced the general availability of the A Series ADFS Bridge Appliance, a plug-and-play, on-premises solution that enables single sign-on (SSO) and access management for Office 365™ and other cloud applications.

This new SSO offering enables seamless integration of Active Directory® (AD) with Office 365 by simplifying the deployment of Microsoft® Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and the DirSync tool. The ADFS Bridge Appliance integrates federated identity with on-premises AD that allows storing credentials internally for increased security and organizational control.

“Our customers faced two major challenges to deploy SSO for Office 365. The AD FS deployment was painstaking and the solutions available in the market stored user passwords in the cloud, something companies were not comfortable with,” said Gabriele Sartori, chief technology officer at Celestix Networks. “With our experience in simplifying Microsoft technologies we were able to develop a solution that reduces the complexity of deploying AD FS for Office 365 and provides secure authentication that is audited on-premises.”

This purpose-built appliance solves the operational burden for IT through its time-saving installation wizard, enabling rapid deployment and reducing the technical complexity of AD FS configuration. AD FS and Directory Synchronization (DirSync) service configuration for Office 365 can be completed in under 15 minutes.

Once the appliance is deployed, users can securely and reliably access Office 365 and other SaaS apps from anywhere using their existing AD credentials. Users get a seamless SSO experience for cloud business solutions, including Exchange Server, SharePoint®, Lync®, and other web apps. The appliance also empowers users to access resources across organizational boundaries, improving their productivity and efficiency.

The ADFS Bridge Appliance is designed to facilitate management, auditing, and scalability. SSO objectives can be monitored and evaluated through metrics provided by infrastructure oversight tools that include a robust reporting, monitoring, and alerting system on the appliance. ADFS Appliances can also be configured to support high availability and scale-out architecture functionality.
