Yusen Logistics Hosts Fundraiser for Patriot Service Dogs
Seacusus, NJ (PRWEB) November 06, 2014 -- Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. will host a fundraising event for Patriot Service Dogs Inc. on November 14 in Jacksonville, FL.
The event, a Veteran’s Day BBQ, will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 13901 Sutton Park Drive South in the parking lot area behind building C. Proceeds will be donated to Patriot Service Dogs, an organization dedicated to helping disabled military veterans gain a sense of independence through their partnership with a well-trained service dog.
“The teambuilding team chose Patriot Service Dogs because we have several members in our Yusen Logistics family who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and we would like to recognize their effort and say thank you by supporting a cause that helps returning veterans in need,” says Yolanda M. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other food items will be available for purchase at the event, and volunteers and a puppy in training from Patriot Service Dogs will be in attendance.

A service dog is individually trained to perform tasks for those with disabilities. Patriot Service Dogs trains their dogs for a full two years to learn more than 80 commands – all to help those veterans with mobility impairments, loss of limbs and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
