Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Featured Speaker at Privacy Identity Innovation

Among the highlights of the three-day program is a keynote interview with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairwoman Edith Ramirez.
Chairwoman Ramirez has presided over a number of significant technology cases since becoming FTC chair in March of 2013 and will take part in a fireside chat at pii2014 on the morning of November 12th. The session will be hosted by POLITICO technology reporter Tony Romm and will explore the FTC’s role in protecting consumer privacy in the mobile era by exploring topics like big data and the Internet of Things.
Now in its fifth year, Privacy Identity Innovation looks at where innovation is heading and how companies and organizations can build trust in the data-driven economy. The pii2014 conference will bring together more than 250 technology executives, entrepreneurs, investors, marketers and policy experts from both small startups and large enterprises.
