DeeBee’s Organic TeaPops by DeeBee’s SpecialTea Foods Named Best in Show at Kosherfest 2014 New Product Competition
Portland, Maine (PRWEB) November 04, 2014 -- DeeBee’s Organic TeaPops in five delicious flavors: Tropical Mango, Toasted Coconut, Berries N' Cherries, Minty Mint, & Southern Iced Tea introduced by DeeBee’s SpecialTea Foods of Victoria, British Columbia, was selected by judges today as Best in Show in Kosherfest’s 2014 New Product Competition. The product also won in the “Frozen Desserts” category.
“We had 125 new products entered in this year’s competition,” said Bill Springer, Executive Vice President, Diversified Communications, and show producer for Kosherfest, the world’s largest kosher industry trade show, which will be held November 11-12 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. “This included a number of outstanding products that were innovative, healthful, convenient and on-trend.”
With an outstanding response from the exhibitors this year, the Competition was able to crown winners from 19 different categories plus Best in Show. Products were judged on quality, presentation, price, taste, and innovation.
Among the winners were See’More’s Smores introduced by Pete’s Gourmet of Medford, OR (in the category of Candy), MIKEE Sriracha & Scirachnaisse by Exotic Sauce Packaging, Inc. of Scottsdale, AZ (Condiments, Sauces, Dressings & Marinades), Crusted Fish Fillets – Quinoa & Herb; Southern Cornmeal & Thai Coconut by Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods of Elmwood Park, NJ (Frozen Entrees & Meal Components), Baron Tequila by Baron Tequila of New York, NY (Wines Beers or Spirits) and Truffle Pate Line (Black Truffle Pate and White Truffle Pate) by La Rustichella Truffles of Long Island City, NY (Dips, Spreads and Salsa).
The panel of judges was comprised of Yakov M. Yarmove, Ethnic Marketing and Specialty Foods, NAI/Jewel-Osco; Marty Stein, Kosher Foods Buyer, KEHE Distributors/Tree of Life; Deborah Shapiro, Sales and Marketing Manager/Loyalty, Bi-Lo Holdings, LLC (Bi-Lo/Winn Dixie); Adam Weissman, Corporate Director, Kosher Experience Saker Shoprites/Wakefern; and Gitel Leibler Qaulity Frozen Foods, Inc.

Kosherfest 2014, November 11 & 12 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ, has a sold out show floor packed with other 300 exhibitors. Open to the trade only, Kosherfest 2014 is expected to attract more than 6,000 food service and retail industry professionals from all over the world, and will showcase thousands of kosher products from more than 20 countries.
